Things to consider
An important factor to consider before purchasing any hearing aid is the brand. We believe the top hearing aid manufacturers are Phonak, Unitron, GN Resound, Siemens and Widex. When purchasing hearing aids, ask the Audiologist to write down the details of the hearing aid, including the Brand and Model, as well as the service plan.
Some patients attend dispensers who fit hearing aids with their own brand name. Unfortunately, they are then tied to this dispenser as only they possess the software to make any adjustments in the future. This is an essential consideration as a patient’s hearing may change and they seek another opinion. No private dispenser can adjust a white label product
